Lake City Sliders shine in final game
Hammer out 10-0 victory

The Lake City Sliders 16 and under all girl Babe Ruth Softball Team left  Richmond Saturday afternoon and are headed home.

Saturday morning the in their final game, they hammered out a 10-0 victory against the host team.

Unfortunately, the Sliders saved most all their runs for the final game and ended the tournament with a 1-3 record. Only the top two teams go to the next round. The Sliders are coming home.

Destiny Hill told the Observer, "it was a learning experience. We'll know what to do next time."

Ms. Hill continued, "They got the experience together as a team. They worked hard to get there. It's the first time they've ever been there. We are looking forward to next year."
