City gearing up for budget discussions

FY2011-12 BUDGET DISCUSSION

We have completed a full week of budget discussion and will continue into next week with a final comparison of revenues and expenditures.   It is the Staff’s objective to have the first budget draft available for distribution to the Council on July 5, 2011.  At this time, most indications are that the City’s FY 12 Budget will be comparable to the current year.

From the staff reports. Some interesting facts

From Donna Duncan in  Finance: Grant reimbursement in the amount of $111,260.30 has been requested from Florida Department of Transportation for the new airport terminal.

From Debbie Garbett in Purchasing and Contracting: Processed two hundred forty one invoices; Issued one thousand two hundred fifty nine items for City use.

From City Clerk Audrey Sikes: Scanned in 1254 pages into the OnBase Document Imaging System (YTD 15866)

From David Durrance in Utility Maintenance: Cleaned and inspected 188 feet of sewer line with closed circuit tv.

From Tweetie Tyre in customer service: Received $191,213,.67 in payments.
