Organized in 1919, the
"Mother's Club" was the forerunner of the
Woman's Club of Macclenny.
Meetings were
held in homes, schools, and later in the
local Eastern Star Hall on each month's
first and third Friday. Dues were $1.00 a
year, and were paid 10 cents a month.
For over 100 years, club members have been
busy with civic, school, health-related, and
community activities.
