COLUMBIA COUNTY, FL – The Columbia County Legislative Delegation will meet at 1 pm this afternoon in the School District Administrative Complex auditorium on U.S. 90. The delegation includes Senator Jennifer Bradley (R-Fleming Island) and Representative Chuck Brannan (R-Macclenny). The next Regular Session of the Florida Legislature will convene on January 11, 2022, in Tallahassee.
The legislative delegation holds a public hearing each year to afford local officials, members of the public and other interested parties the opportunity to present legislative proposals or express opinions on state issues.
In the Senator’s press release, she said, “I am extremely honored to be representing the people of Columbia County in the Florida Senate and look forward to discussing issues of importance to the community. These hearings help us to understand the needs and the goals of the community as we establish our respective legislative priorities.”
Columbia County, County Manager David Kraus said he “plans to broadcast the hearing live over the County’s Youtube channel to the County’s residents and the residents of the surrounding counties.”
The hearing will also be available on Youtube shortly after the conclusion of the meeting.
Regarding the Youtube broadcast, Representative Brannon’s office advised the County Manager “that it would be best considering the COVID uptick.”
