New City Manager's Contract Ready for Prime Time This Monday Night

LAKE CITY, FL –
Lake City should have a new City Manager
ready to begin on August 1, 2018 if all goes
according to plan during Monday evening's
City Council meeting. On the agenda is the
approval of the contract between Joe
Helfenberger and the City.
Joe Helfenberger will be starting at $120k a year or $57.69 hr. He will have a six months evaluation where the City Council can decide to bump him up.
Former City Manager Wendell Johnson left the City at a rate of $55.17 hr.
Among Mr. Helfenberger's perks are a city car and two extra weeks of vacation per year, beginning when he signs his contract.
