City Health Care tops the bill this week

City Health Care Plan

The City Insurance Committee met this week to discuss Employee Health Care Plan options and agreed on a continuation of Blue Cross/Blue Shield Health Services.

A Blue Options Plan will be submitted for Council consideration on August 15, 2011. This plan offers financial and health coverage benefits to the City for FY 12 which are comparable to the current plan.

There will be no cost increase in the City Health Care Plan for the coming year, FY 2012.

Florida League of Cities (FLC) Annual Conference.

The FLC 85th Annual Conference will be held next week, August 11 – 13, in Orlando.

The conference, with the theme of "Cities Work," will feature keynote presentations by Captain Mark Adamschick, USN, Ph.D. and  Richard Florida and Sean Snaith, Ph.D.

The conference offers a wide variety of informational workshops and training sessions.  A complete schedule of Conference information is available at: www.floridaleagueofcities.com/ .
